I’m an expert retoucher, and have taught many Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom editing courses using in the past. While working at Practical photography magazine I also created hundreds of written tutorials, alongside screen captured video tutorials. Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom training – £199 

The best place to learn editing skills is at your own computer, so for Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom training I will always travel to you. The content of the session will be directed by you. Before meeting we can discuss your requirements and I will create a plan covering a number tips and techniques that are perfect for your ability level.

For Photoshop, Elements or Lightroom training, we will spend the session (10am-3pm) at your home so you are using your own computer in the environment where you usually edit photos. The pace will be set by you, so we will only cover as much as you’re comfortable with. This is why a one-to-one photography course is the perfect way to enhance your skills in a friendly and relaxed environment. Travel expenses are applicable if you live outside of Cambridgeshire / over 30 miles away from PE27.

Wanting a short course in photography and photo editing, I contacted James Abbott, who responded with the offer of an 'In Person', days workshop course in SLR camera use and a days workshop course editing using Adobe Elements. Having now completed both, they were exactly what I wanted and I could not have asked for more. James is a very professional and competent photographer as well a patient tutor, and gave the appropriate amount of time explaining each aspect until I had the confidence to carry out the tasks myself. In June 2019 I did a Lightroom CC One to One home workshop with James. Although I had been using Lightroom for a couple of years he helped me so much to develop a much better workflow and with his help I learnt how to properly use the programme. I had developed a lot of bad habits! His knowledge is incredible not just on Lightroom but on photography he has a wealth of experience from his background in the industry. His instructions were alway clear and precise. He was enormously supportive in helping me learn to what for me is a difficult subject as a photographer I would rather just take the snaps but with James' help from the workshop my photography has improved as a result of his workshop and I enjoy the processing of my images much more.I learnt valuable skills that you cannot get from a book. Booking a workshop was also very easy, his email communications were good with him setting homework before the day. We also had a conversation about what I wanted to cover and achieve during my One to One. This led to me getting so much more from his time.
