The Leica M10 Monochrom is the latest camera from Leica that shoots black & white images exclusively. And while this may seem an extravagance when you consider the cost of the camera, it makes a huge amount of sense based on the incredible image quality achievable with the sensor at all ISO levels. Not to mention the camera is an absolute delight to shoot with.
In the run up to lockdown in the UK I shot with the camera for a couple of weeks and spent a day in Cambridge shooting street photography. It was much quieter than usual with just a tiny fraction of the thousands of tourists, shoppers, workers and students you normally see out and about, but it was just about busy enough to shoot enough images for my review that’s on Tech Radar. So, here’s a small selection of street photography images taken in Cambridge with the camera.
